Hi,

I've found this website while I was browsing across European baseball and softball community. I am glad that slowpitch in Germany is very much active.
In Slovenia SP is growing and we are now in our third year. It involves baseball players, women fastpitch players and many pure slowpitch fans. Our league is formed as monthly tournaments and at the end of season best teams are competing for a national champion title.
We have Outdoor league as well as Indoor league at winter time, so actually we play whole year.
Aside from local teams and US Embassy team, we have many guests who plays more or less all the time. Teams from Croatia comes every winter, a team from Ireland is two time winner of annual spring tournament and there are Italians also.
Our goal is to spread slowpitch as much as possible. We were host of European CoEd slowpitch Championship in 2006 and we were participants at Championship this year in Southampton, UK.
We would like also visit some of your tournaments as well as tournaments in Austria, depending on our time-table. Also, teams from Germany, Austria and Switzerland are very welcome to join our tournaments.

I'm sorry 'cause it's in Slovene only, there's Slowpitch tab and under that, there's no hard to find dates. All Outdoor tournaments are held in Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia and Indoor in Ljubljana and sometimes Novo mesto.

Our season is winding down now, only a few more tournaments left:(
We (the "Brew Crew" from Augsburg) try to make it to one foreign tournament each year -we will be going to Prague, Czech Republic in October of this year but, who knows, maybe we'll be able to make it to Ljubljana sometime in the future!!

it is nice to see that slowpitch.de does what it is supposed to do: Bring the European Softball Teams together!

We (the Kornwestehim Woodpeckers) do host a big spring tournament every year. We are always looking for teams from other european countries. We had teams from the Switzerland and Austria over here so far and we would like to see you and your team in Stuttgart as well. Feel free to contact me via PM os Mail and i will give you more information.

Please let us know what you guys are planning for the next year, as Tim said, Slovenia is far but probably worth a trip, i think.

Be serious Tim you can´t even park in Prague without getting a wheel lock. And you know none of your players are going to Ljubljana. They are so tight they squeek when they walk. LOL Charles

hey....you can get wheels locked in Ljubljana also.... don't seek that experience only in Prague . Actually, your car can be also towed away, so that's something more for your fun

Winter season in Slovenia just begins. We have our first tournament this Saturday, 22nd november, with 10 teams from Slovenia and Croatia attenending. Also there will be US Embassy Ljubljana team as usual.

Unfortunately, I don't have future dates, but I will inform you as soon as I get them.

Hi Charles,

We are now just at the top of winter indoor season with the last league tournament held yesterday and with Final-four Tournament coming where the winners of National and International Leagues will be known.

At the end of April the outdoor season begins. National and International League in a shape of monthly tournaments. For you, the most interesting tournament will be in the middle of June when we traditionally have the Irish team from Limerick in visit. As a standard we have teams from Slovenia, Croatia and US Embassy team competing all the time.

Unfortunately the dates are not yet known, but I will publish it as soon as it'll be known.

I'm also pushing our coach to visit some tournaments in Germany. Munich and Stuttgart are options, depending on our time and funds.

I visited your website, looks nice. I only understood to words, Baseball and Softball, so please help me out on your webiste. Where is your calendar located with dates and tournaments?

The web site was recently changed. My opinion is that it's not so understandable anymore, you have to dig deep into the site to find something and....there is no calendar.

Actually, we are still waiting for AGM ( general meeting ). Whole new season depends on positive results at negotiations with Italian Baseball Association. Our national baseball team is playing in italian league, so we are waiting now for italian schedule to make our own and at the end to make slowpitch schedule. Reason for this is a fact, that a lot of our baseball players are also competing in slowpitch and the second reason...we share the same pitches. So, baseball is priority and slowpitch is the last

Regarding tournaments, just this Saturday we have Final Four tournament wich will conclude Winter National and International Leagues. The first outdoor tournament is expected to be at the end of April or at the beginning of May.

Like I said it before. I'll put the calendar on this forum as soon I'll get it.

Thanks for your interest. I'm also pushing our management to visit some tournaments in Germany. As for distance, Muenchen is the best for us, but my preference would be Kornwestheim.

Thanks for the information, I will keep looking for updates from you. Kornwestheim is a great tournament and we would love to have you guys here. I understand your team situation, baseball is the main priority for your team. Once everything is finished and you know more, just let me know.
